It was a slambang affair between WBO champion Jaime Mungia and challenger Tureano Johnson until the uppercut in the 6th round caused the referee to stop the fight. Johnson had suffered a broken lip with the heavy uppercut by Munguia who retained the middleweight title. Undefeated Mungia has a fight record of 36 wins with 29 KOs. Veteran Johnson has a fight record of 21-3 with 15 KOs. Mungia is aching to have a bigger fight like Canelo Alvarez but it seems that the famous Mexican Canelo is evading Mungia.
