Well, this doesn't have to be a black one, but the problem intrigues me. Anyway, whining is a no/no. Well, the way I see it, a big problem lies in trust. That could even outweight cruel things of nature - like yourself being simply too old.

I think you have to befriend the girl that you like and try not to be too possessive or come on too strong. You also have to earn her trust first.

A headstrong woman should be paired with a guy with a similar personality otherwise poor guy will be nagged and henpecked, so to speak. I have seen an uncle in that predicament where his wife had been nagging her all the time since they got married (I was 6 at that time and living with them). In his 80s, my uncle confessed to me that he didn't have a good life with his family because of his wife who is always aggressive and dominating. What made it worse is that their children, all 6 of them, had no respect for my uncle.
