Certainly not. It is because it is fresh in the market that is why they hiked the prices. But with the current situation, we are facing with the pandemic I wouldn't. I would rather, help the street children with no food to eat. I would rather visit a children's home and donate. I think the ones who have such opportunities should seek to help the people who do not have during the hard times we are all succumbing to. Most companies have declared bankruptcy and if your work continues without pay reduction or dismissal, care for that work. We are all out trying to survive. We should all be responsible for what we have at the moment. And care for it.

I think its a ridiculous price! and to be honest most people won't be able to afford that due to the current pandemic and on top of that a lot of people are losing jobs.

Think Sony will need to re think this over as they could lose money.

True...that is an expensive way to pay for leisure!! But am sure they will put features that you will die for, and peer pressure will just get people to buy it. It is just like iPhones!! They have never been cheap, but you will find people queueing for days just to get the $1000+ tiny piece of technology!!

Nope I'll wait till Black Friday or Boxing day to see if it goes on sale. It's wise to never buy a console when it first comes out because usually they release different versions of it and more GB space in the future.

Even now in 2023 I still see people trying to sell PlayStation 5 consoles at over $600 or even more, by now you would have thought this wouldn't be something that was still so popular but it really is. I would never pay any more than the retail price for a console. I believe that if you buy from people that sell it for these kinds of prices you are showing them that what they do which is scalping is a good thing and they will continue to do it meaning a lack of consoles on the shelf selling at retail price.
