In an overview of 24 nations, pizza and pasta take the best position – firmly followed by Chinese and Japanese food. A worldwide YouGov investigation of in excess of 25,000 individuals in 24 nations finds that pizza and pasta are among the most well-known nourishment on the planet, as Italian food beats any and all individuals.

I think that in any country, the top food would be some kind of grain, just different ones in different countries, depending on what they can grow there.
Most of the Asian countries have rice with their meals, europeans have bread and pasta, made from wheat, oats, or rye, and in the early Americas, the Native Americans from both north and South America ate a lot of corn and potatoes.
Once potatoes found their way to the UK, then they were very popular there as well, and during the famine in the late 1800’s, many people survived on nothing much besides their potato harvest.

Unfortunately, many countries have developed a taste for foods that are not healthy for us, and now that big food corporations can start up just about anywhere, it is common to be able to have a hamburger or pizza in just about any country in the world.
