I know this question is a high topic currently as the planet is facing many challenges and it's super expensive to explore, do you think all of the time and money invested on this will benefit humanity?
I was 19 when Neil Armstrong first stepped on the moon in 1969 and remember feeling excited about what was to come in the future but I have to say despite all the money that has been ploughed into space exploration and the terrible accidents that have occurred, there doesn't seem to be a lot of progress and it certainly wont happen in my life time should there be some amazing advancement in space exploration. From what I have read it has lead to the development of various technologies so I am sure it has benefited us in many other ways that I couldn't even begin to understand.
What I am interested in is whether life exists on other planets. Can we really be the only form of life?
