Whenever I would clean our car I would be sweating a lot. I have noticed that it is one good activity instead of wasting my energy in jogging or walking with no purpose. That also saves me money instead of bringing our car to the car wash. Trimming the trees is another big chore that is a challenge to me. During the rainy season I have to trim the trees at least twice. How about weeding the garden? What chores do you do in order to get a good amount of exercise?

Yes, household chores are the best form of exercise as we have to bend down, pick up stuff, stretch ourselves, exert to the point of sweating. Nowadays since most of the households have a number of machines and gadgets to help perform chores, we are losing out on exercises. Personally, I sweep the house twice day and mop the floors once, so that is an exercise for me.

Any form of exercise has its purpose or ultimate aim. And there are many forms of it. Some are doing it to build a muscle. Some are to maintain their good body physique. Some are to relieve themselves of their drudgery. Some are just for a hobby.

In my case, I walk everyday early in the morning or in the late afternoon to physically condition my body. And it's more appropriate for me to do it, since I'm already a senior citizen. Besides it's not too expensive to do that unlike doing some workouts in the gym, which is expensive and bit boring.

My wife has the problem of lacking exercise for her reasons of going to the office early. My advice is for her to use the stairs at least 3 floors in going up and going down. Since her office is on the 10th floor so she can take the elevator up to the 7th and then walk up to the 10th, likewise in going down. Aside from that, she needs to walk away from the computer every 30 minutes to drink water in the pantry or to talk to someone who is not near her table. At least she gets a bit of exercise.

House chores aren't that much of a exercise to me I still have to go jogging and running.

I don't believe there is some daily routine that can be like exercise. If you want to do exercise, will advise you do and have a healthy health.

I don't do chores that are heavy enough to be considered as an exercise. House chores are a whole lot lighter compared to jogging, brisk walking, boxing.

I grow flowers and ornamental plants in the front yard and vegetables in the backyard. I have to work in my flower garden as well as vegetable garden. If I don't work my plants will die. My garden needs a least 3 hours work every week. I get good exercise by working in the garden.

Any form of physical activity can be considered exercise but for most chores we don't spend enough time doing them for the body to work up a sweat so we still need to do actual exercises for the body to grow and work up a sweat.
