Severed ear of welterweight Ramiz Brahimaj

Mixed martial arts showed its brutality when welterweight fighter Ramiz Brahimaj almost lost his left ear. Max Griffin hit Brahimaj with a vicious elbow that severed the ear of Brahimaj early in the 3rd round. The ref eree immediately halted the fight when he saw the left ear of Brahimaj dangling and would about to fall. It was a TKO for injury and Griffin was awarded the win.
