In a year or 2 my wife and I will buy a lot and build an apartment that we are going to rent out. The rental will be our budget for the daily expenses like food. We have a pension but it is pretty small that sooner or later the value of money will make the pension buy lesser. An apartment with 2 units maybe can be our safety valve for survival because retired people have no way of getting another job.
