Right now, we are facing some serious food shortages worldwide, and the situation continues to worsen. The United Nations said back about 1-2 months ago that there is only about a 90 day stockpile of food , which is not very much food.
Now, the WEF is telling farmers that they have to cut their food production even more, to almost half of what they normally produce, in countries like the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy; so we are seeing huge protests from the farmers in these countries.
Because of inflation and small food harvests, any food that we do buy is going to cost more, and the price of fuel here in the United States is so high that some places are not even getting their products shipped.

One of the things that everyone can do is start stocking up on some storable food, like canned goods and dry foods such as beans and rice. Always stock up on foods that you like and will enjoy eating regardless of whether we have a food shortage, or just a normal winter ahead.
my husband and I live on a tight budget, and do not have a lot of extra room; so there is only so much that we can do, but it is my belief that every little bit helps. Each time I buy groceries, I get a little extra canned food, and I have stocked up on dry foods like pasta, beans, lentils, oats, and rice, as well as a few cans of dehydrated foods from Auguson Farms.

I have planted a small garden, and one of the easiest greens to grow turns out to be sweet potato leaves. I have them planted in large containers, and we are hoping for a sweet potato harvest this fall, but in the meantime, I go out and pick some of the leaves and we use them like spinach.

I have a dehydrator, so now I am learning to dry foods like vegetables, fruits, and greens, and I have found that i really enjoy it. It is pretty easy to do, and not work-intensive like canning or freezing food is, and takes up less room to store.
Even if you can only do a little at a time, it is important to start stocking up with food and other important items before the price gets higher and the supply runs out !

I agree that stocking up on storable foods and getting at least some ways to preserve food is always a good idea. Even in times when food storages are not a risk, the concept is a great move for families.

Spending a bit of time working on a rotation system and room to store things might seem easy, but having to rush them into place can be a mess.

We usually buy extra canned food as one never knows when something will happen; most canned stuff you can eat from the can without heating it if you lose power.
