Our dog Tisoy is a mixed spitz that is already 13 years old. We called the vet when he couldn't move his bowels for 3 days. An enema was done to at least soften the feces that some came out. The vet said that if the lack of release goes for 3 days then an x-ray should be taken to see what is obstructing the intestines and the bowels. After 2 days, we thought of papaya which is good for the digestive system. We gave our dog soft papaya via the syringe 3 times a day. On the next day the bowel moved and out came black feces. On the 2nd day of the papaya diet, the bowel movement went normal. We are still giving our dog papaya to regulate the bowel movement. But he is fine now, okay with the papaya.

I know of using papaya on children. I am fascinated by how you can use papaya on animals. We recently bought our dogs after we experienced a robbery. We have one dog called Meggie and three puppies. They are so adorable. I wouldn't want them to experience any pain. I am glad I have learned something new that I could do in case they experience a bad digestive system.

I haven't heard of papaya being able to aid in digestion and moving of bowels, but good thing I read this, who would have thought that it has that effect? I only know that papaya can whiten skin.
