I am usually Sprite1950 on most online sites and I chose it because I was a Sprite when I was in the Brownies many years ago. People used to call me that quite often, and 1950 is my year of birth. How did you choose your user name?

Hi Sprite? Mine is sweeriebanana. I love bananas especially sweet bananas so hence the name. I use it also on most of the sites. I love the name so much I don't know why. Maybe it's cause I am sweet.

Actually it didn’t take too much imagination on my part since Robert / Bob is my given name and I used to work a lot at Rescue Missions hence the moniker “preacher”.
Normally, everyone knows me as Bobby which is what I prefer to be called and use that as a username on a few other forums.

Being the creative genius that I am I came up with an amazing display of my innovative acumen. Only Albert Einstein and myself could have come up with this fantastic username. You see "Deleted User" are my initials. (o.k. maybe it's not so creative)

I used to run a website that was abbreviated as PG, we then renamed it slightly and the abbreviation became PGen. The site shut down, but the moniker stuck with me because I'd adopted it on a few other forums just because I liked it. The 98 relates to ice hockey, I'm afraid. When I first moved the US I was a big fan of the Mighty Ducks movies, and then I started following the NHL as a fan of the Dallas Stars, but I had a special appreciation for Teemu Selanne (#8) and Paul Kariya (#9), and of course, Wayne Gretzky (#99), so I adopted the 98 as a tribute to the three of them...at least it worked in my brain :D. Stuck with it ever since.

Now that you have acknowledged me as your president I will order my 1st presidential decree. The following rules must now and for ever more apply:

(1) All of my posts must be liked by at least 5 members.
(2) All of my threads will now be deemed as "most popular".
(3) If by chance I get into it with another member, all mods will automatically take my side in the conflict.

More presidential decrees may be forth coming in the future, but that will do for now.

All hail the chief!

Well as a Brit I'm not sure I can abide by these rules, but I appreciate the attempted enforcement of authority :D

Wow! It's so interesting to read stories about screen names. The name I am using is my pet name. The literal meaning of my screen name, in my language, is skinny. When I was in my teens and early adulthood, I was skinny. I started putting on weight after I got married. Even though I am 15-16 kilos more than what I used to be in my teens and early adulthood, people still call me "luri" or skinny. By the way, I am not using this name as my screen name on all sites where I am active. I use different screen names to remain anonymous.

Well as a Brit
It appears that as to blood lines we have something in common as I am 50% Brit. My mother was a war bride from York, my father being stationed there as a mechanic on Lancaster bombers. My mother never lost her Yorkie accent, she would call me up sometimes:

My mother: "Ello luv, it's your mother calling".
Me: "No need to identify yourself mum, no one else sounds like this." (yes I have gone waaaaay off topic, but we can blame the mod who started it on post #5)
