Getting politics out of the pit

Politics since the dawn of time has seemed to hearken back to the Edgar Allen Poe story, “The Pit and the Pendulum.” As with the narrator of the story, in the pit and tied to a table, We all have been treated to watching politics as a razor-sharp pendulum that swings back and forth between two extremes, slowing getting closer and closer to slicing them and the planet into pieces.

As i look at this forum i think many of us are mature enough to discuss politics without it blowing up, i think many of our politicians have a very hard effect on today and our future, feel free to use this new forum to discuss your views and thoughts.

Well, I'll dive in as it's who I am. Right after March 2020, I changed my 50+ yrs of being a registered Dem to American Independent. I have not trusted our govt since March 2020.

I don't see a covid topic here but I do not own a tv and watch no MSM stuff. I listen and watch over 100's of doctors, researchers, etc on all the covid mess we have been going thru and people's lives destroyed. My city where I have lived 55 yrs is almost a ghost town..CLosures.....

My take, OMG, for starters it's all planned. I have followed 100's of experts who all go against Lord Fauci.

And I truly believe MANY would be alive today had they taken care of their immune systems and maintained vital health, more vital and I'm 83 and been supplementing for about 30 yrs....

And all those out there NEVER discuss this issue to those old folks in rest homes, watching tvs etc. Tragic.

In the beginning one of our leaders talked about Hydroxychlorine and Zinc and others and he was SHUT UP.

I first started following American politics back in the summer of 1993 as a conservative Republican until May 2016 when I first walked away from the GOP (thanks, Trump!) and began reexamining a lot of my beliefs. Eventually, about a year later, I made the jump to the other side of the political aisle and haven't regretted it.

Oh, no credential, just a bit of Appalachia common sense that helps differentiate between actual scientific evidence and horseshit (apologies for the language there, @Jay). And even if - if - SarsCov2 were created in a lab, wondering about its' origins at this point is akin to closing a barn door after all the little horses have left the stable.
