Some say that the excessive rains in the recent years are caused by climate change. Pollution is the the culprit for it is the main factor that affects our climate and weather. If you ask how it can be stopped then I would say there is no way to stop the pollution unless man will not use gasoline and diesel.
 
Climate change is causing extreme climate. Extreme climate means some places gets excessive rain even when it is not a rainy season, where as some places remain dry for most of the year. All the havoc caused by extreme climate are actually caused by climate change.
