To be honest, I am not willing to be given the vaccine. It is not because I have read the news on the deaths caused by the vaccine indirectly. My take is if everyone in our community will have the vaccine then who will get me contaminated? No more because everyone has a vaccine except me, right? Therefore there is no more need for me to get the vaccine. Did you get my logic?

So I can't say one way or the other how I feel about the vaccine, how I feel about Covid as a whole, and so on, but I have friends who are medical scientists, friends who are in the pharmaceutical industry, and I have a friend who is a legitimate brain surgeon (neurosurgeon), every one of them has come to me and told me to get vaccinated if the chance arises. Now, I have a weak immune system, anyway, so that could be a mere concern there, but I tend to trust people who know what they're talking about.

One of my friends also shared the below slideshow with me, and it actually helps to put a few things in perspective about the vaccine on the whole, so maybe read this and see what you feel about it.

Whatever the case may be, if you're not comfortable getting the vaccine, don't get it. If you're comfortable enough with it to get it, go for it! It is your choice, 100%

Edit -- removed the spoiler tags, because I don't think people realized they were there :D

If it is required for me to be vaccinated for my own good and all the doctors, scientists etc. are vouching for its credibility and safety, then I will surely get the vaccine. But before that, I will generally wait and watch how things are developing with respect to the vaccine overall in the community.

I'm a 70 year old woman living with a 14 year old child who is still going to school. I would rather trust the vaccine than end up on a ventilator. We have just heard that one of my granddaughter's friends has it and her dad is in hospital. I'll go for the vaccine any day. I see it as our way out of this.

I am not sick so I'm not taking that shit. My gut tells me that the governments of this planet are going to give us an ultimatum or use some kind of blackmail to get us to take the vaccine!

Vaccines are preventive medicine, you take vaccines so that you do not contract a particular disease. They are not cures. As of now, there is no proven cure for Coronavirus, but a combination of different drugs that work.

Thank you so much for mansplaining what a vaccine does. I mean I have only been on this planet for 27 years, but hey, I guess I needed an update.

The way I see it everyone has a choice. Have it, don't have it ... but don't be surprised if you cannot get into pubs and other establishments if you don't because that is their choice too and that's nothing to do with the government.

If you don't go out then you won't be needing the vaccine anyway, so if you stay away from people then you're pretty much safe from contracting Covid-19. I wonder if the vaccine would be effective.

I always thought you were a guy!!
I also have a daughter but I am waiting. If need be, I will get vaccinated.

For now, I am a single mom who is always at home and I don't see the need of the vaccination.
