The UK is in the midst of the second wave of a new infectious strain of Covid-19. Our vaccination programme is now underway to try and beat it but some people think it hasn't been tested enough and are worried about having it. I will be first in the queue as I see it as a way out of this pandemic. Will you be having it when it's your turn?

This is a good discussion because it is coming up soon. My take on the vaccine is that it injects foreign element to the body. Although considered isolated cases but there are people who get sick when given the vaccine. I had been offered free vaccine for pneumonia 2 years ago and this year vaccines for pneumonia and flu. I always declined. If everyone would get the vaccine for covid then that would be great. No carriers anymore so I could go out freely.

I understand your concerns but I have had everything possible since the 1950s and remain in excellent health. I have seen serious life threatening diseases wiped out like smallpox and polio. This year for the first time I had both the flu and the pneumonia jabs with no reaction. I have never had a reaction to any vaccination.

I think many people who don't normally have vaccinations will take the covid one. As I have just reached 70 I am hoping I am not too far down the queue.

I m not sure I will be having it unless I test positive. I'm in perfect health and I don't see the need of having the vaccine as of now. You are of good health dear, have faith.

I think I will need a little more than faith to see me through this. I have a brother in law on a ventilator, a friend who has died and a neighbour who has long covid and is still very ill months after contracting it and has had to give up her job. Unless it has touched your life you won't really understand what it means. If you get the virus you probably won't need the vaccination but I hope to god you only get it mildly if you do as I have seen the results of what it can do.

I wont be taking any vaccine till i see the effects of the vaccine.
The vaccination programme in the UK started on 8th December. The trials did well and so far only two people out of millions suffered a reaction and it was discovered they had allergies and used epipens so people with allergies are advised not to have it. The two people affected recovered well and out of the millions vaccinated here to date no one has had a severe reaction. It's our only way out of this terrible pandemic.
