I usually take care of my company laptop a lot.

I don't want anyone to point their fingers at me, when it comes to others belongings. I used to visit forums, personal mails using my company laptop. Lately though I have stopped that, as I came to know about my company tracking these things.
With my personal laptop, I don't have to worry about these things at all. So, I prefer to connect to my desktop remotely using my personal laptop. Sounds like a pain but it works.

A Company computer should strictly be for company business. Anything else should be done on a pc.

It really does depend on how strict your company is.
A lot would not be too bothered about it as long as you are still getting on with work. There's clearly a line with it however.

Companies then to have an IY acceptable usage poilcy, but I find its used if they want something on you. Some will have hot words scanned.

Would I administer a personal calendar, or log into personal emails? Yes.

Would I play games? No.

I agree with this. At any job I've had I never had to have a laptop for work. I don't even have a personal laptop as I prefer PC's :)

I would not be caught dead checking my email on a company computer.

Companies that put trackers on laptops are just being too unnecessarily sensitive.

Yes and no.

Some people really do take the piss. Also you have duty of care, if someone is using for illegal activities, company simply saying "I didnt know" simply isn't good enough.

Plus malware / viruses.
