Some years back when I finally retired from office work I felt like experiencing a culture shock. The issue was not needing to wake up and rush since I would be going nowhere. On the upside I have my own time and I have more time for leisure than for working. That was the time I realized that it is better to handle the house chores than to while away my time in watching tv. It took me about 3 months before I was able to adjust to the new lifestyle. Fortunately for me, I have the support of my family so there was no conflict whatsoever in my changed lifestyle.

Four years ago when I went home after my last day of service, upon reaching home I right away look for my loving wife. As I entered our home, I shouted with full of happiness and enthusiasm. "Honey, I'm home." She met me and hugged me tight by saying jokingly, "Now you work for me. But you pay me."

My work routine started anew but in a different setting, in different style. I'm helping my wife in her day-to-day chores and I become her permanent bodyguard everytime she goes for shopping. But she never bothers me when I'm still in bed every morning.

That's exactly the lifestyle of my dad, he stays at home all day and does household chores, then is also in charge of feeding the pets. He seems to love being at home though.

That is so sweet! I guess she must be enjoying now that you spend a lot of time with her, doing things together.

To me I will prefer to write articles, and also parties with friends and family. This will always keep me cool.

It might be too early for me to think about retirement, however, one thing that I would like to do when I retire is go to live in a country side and walk at least 3 kilometers every day for physical and mental health. I might also start growing food once I retire.

When I retire, I will do more of gardening and learning new things such as crochet maybe. Go for long walks, travel as much as possible.

when i retire i think am just going to manage my business from home.I will also try continue exercise to help my health.
