Can WFH increase employees' work productivity?

I have seen someone working from home,. At first she was ecstatic because there is no need to wake up at 4 am to travel to the office. Logging in at 6:30 am for her 7 am time is a breeze. The daily video conferencing of 30 minutes for the executive meeting looked enjoyable. But after 2 weeks the atmosphere changed. She is getting bored and maybe she is missing the action. Now with regards to productivity there are chores that cannot be done outside of the office. Indeed when the lockdown was lifted the company went back to the standard work scheme.
