I can't help but feel that they gutted all the good that made Battlefied fun and we got a shell of a game with 2042. It is overall fun, but lacking content and lacking that special feeling that made the series competitive against the giants of CoD and Halo.
 
I was looking forward to Battlefield this year since I planned on staying away from COD. Looks like it's a huge disappointment and the open beta was not good at all.

Looks like Halo will be getting my attention.
 
There are some rumours it may end up as a free-to-play title. As someone that hasn't bought the game, I wouldn't mind that. Might help them to get their crap together and sort the game out too
