Not a tire but I had to get my windscreen replaced recently through my insurance company. Sadly all of our small places have been replaced with two large chain services and they are awful. You pretty much need to fight with them to get anything and since they are inspection stations, it isn't uncommon for "problems" to arise that need fixing before they will release a vehicle.
